The Department utilizes many different social media platforms to communicate with residents. Primarily, social media is used to disseminate information and to notify the public of incidents that may potentially affect them.
Facebook and Instagram are used in the same spirit, but with more frequency. It allows us to create a dialogue between SBPD and the community. These platforms are not monitored 24/7 and it may take some time for a response. Please do not use social media instead of calling 911 during emergencies.
